Financial and Administrative Assistant
Shawn joined MIT D-Lab in late 2024 and is currently the Financial and Administrative Assistant. Three days per week, Shawn helps D-Lab staff members with fiscal-related functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and provides administrative support to ensure operational efficiency. He also works with D-Lab’s partners in East Africa, assisting with their financial operations and reporting.
Shawn brings to his work at D-Lab experience in accounting and budget management at various banking institutions. On the two weekdays he is not at D-Lab, he works at the MIT Center for Real Estate in a similar capacity.
Shawn studied finance and economics at the University of South Carolina. He is originally from the North Shore of Massachusetts, where he spends his free time watching hockey with his family and playing trivia with his peers.
